15 February 2017: Members Update

It will soon be our AGM and Annual Dinner on Friday 24th February. We have 32 members booked for the meal.  Although our order has been submitted, we might still be able to request a late addition but acceptance of this would be up to the restaurant manager - please reply to the relevant e-mail if you are interested and we can at least ask.  However don’t forget that all members are welcome to attend the AGM at 7.00.

Saturday 18 February – Winter Series & Youth League Event

Before the AGM though, this weekend we have our next event - a Saturday event incorporating our Youth League at Swinley East, just to the east of Bracknell.  Registration (with entry on the day) will be from 10:00am - 11:00am with starts from 10:30am - 11:30am. Courses available will be White, Yellow, Orange, Light Green and Short Blue.  For more details see the website at: Swinley East Event.  I have been asked by Organiser Jane Courtier to ask that you consider helping. Stefan, the Planner, would like 2 volunteers at 7.45, one to check controls and one to put out controls on paths for white/yellow course.  It would also be helpful to have someone to help with car parking at about 9.30. Finally 4 or 5 people at the end to help collect controls would be welcome and make the job much easier and quicker.  Please contact Jane with any offers.

Sunday 12 March – CompassSport Cup Heat

Members will now have had details from Martin Wilson, Club Captain, of the entry procedure for this Heat and the need for volunteers to help stage the event.  He had asked for entries to be submitted to him, if possible, by tomorrow (15th February) although our actual entry does not need to be submitted until the 27th February. Early replies though would be very much appreciated.
