20 October: BKO Update

Extract from the mpa of Bucklebury

First, congratulations to St Andrew’s School, Pangbourne, for an excellent performance in the British Schools Score Championships 2015 on the 10th October.  They came away as the Champions in the ‘Middle, Prep Girls’ category but were beaten into second place in the ‘Middle, Prep Boys’ category. Individually, the children won two bronze and four silver individual medals in their age classes. They are now preparing to tackle the British Schools Championships taking place on Sunday 15th November 2015 at Sandringham County Park, Norfolk.

Lots of information this week -

BKO Events

Sunday 8th November – SCOA League event – Bucklebury Common

Another reminder that our next event is our SCOA League event at Bucklebury.  The cheaper pre-entry is available until 1st November but on-line entries will remain open until 6th November.  Members should have seen an e-mail requesting help from Organiser Peter Entwistle and reduced price entries will be available for helpers.  It you are still able to offer help, contact him on peterentwistle@btinternet.com.  For details of the event, see: http://www.bko.org.uk/event/bucklebury-common-8-nov-15

2015 Club Championships

Although this has still to be confirmed by the Committee, it is now expected to be held this year at the TVOC event on Sunday 13th December at Bradenham, near High Wycombe.  However is it time we changed the method of determining the ‘champions’? Suggestions of alternative system are welcome – please submit them to the Committee.
