30 March 2018: JK 2018 - Day 1 - Sprint

It has been Day 1 of this year's JK International Festival of Orienteering being staged by the West Midlands Orienteering Association. The Festival weekend starts with a 'Sprint' event which this year was staged on the M.O.D. Stafford campus. BKO was delighted to have two medallists - Ian Cooper came home first in the M75 class with a 50 second lead. In M70, Martin Wilson took second place, just six seconds behind the winner. Congratulations to them both. Another good result was that from David Jukes in M65 who finished 4th, just outside the medals. For full results, including all 17 BKO members, see the main results page at: http://www.sportident.co.uk/results/2018/JK2018/stage1_index.html Tomorrow the Festival moves into the woods of Cannock Chase for a 'Middle' race.
