30 September: BKO Update

Ian Cooper at Yateley Common

We had about 130 entries for last Saturday’s Youth League event at Yateley Common.  The sun shone enabling the competitors to enjoy the heath and Dick Rae’s courses.  Thanks to all the officials and helpers. Also good results for Martin Wilson (MUV) and Denise Harper (WUV) at last Sunday’s urban event at Canterbury.  Both came through to win their respective classes.  On Saturday, Martin will be the Scottish representative in the M65 class at the Veterans Home Internationals (VHI) in mid-Wales followed by a relay event on Sunday.  Good luck Martin!

Sunday 8th November – SCOA League event – Bucklebury Common

We return to Bucklebury Common for the first time for at least 10 years for this, our next event.  It is the first of the 2015-16 SCOA League events so there should be a good turnout from neighbouring clubs.  Andrew Graham is busy planning courses with Katy Stubbs ensuring that the map is up to standard.  Organiser Peter Entwistle will be looking for a team of helpers so look out for a request for volunteers.  Please put the date in your diary for a challenge on what, for most people in the club, will be a new area.  For details, see: http://www.bko.org.uk/event/bucklebury-common-8-nov-15
