Today's report of BKO members from the JK International Orienteering Festival in the West Midlands is unfortunately not as positive as yesterday's. The 'Middle' event was held at Brereton Spurs - a small wooded area near Rugeley. As the name suggests, it is a complex area of ridges/spurs and small valleys (re-entrants to orienteers). The area was very challenging for all and small mistakes were difficult to correct. For the full results, see: http://www.sportident.co.uk/…/2018/J…/day2/stage2_index.html. For the third day tomorrow, a 'Long' event on Cannock Chase will provide complex route choice over longer distances.
