As well as the good results from overseas already reported, much closer to home, Mark Saunders had a great run to win the Mens Open course at the Royal Wooton Basset urban event on the 25 September putting him in first place in the Southern England Orienteering Urban League with just a few more races to complete this year’s competition. Congratulations to them all.
Also good luck to St Andrews School who I think will be heading off to the British Schools Score Championships in Leicestershire on Saturday.
BKO Events
Saturday 15 October – Second 2016/17 Winter Series & Youth League Event
As advertised in the September Newsletter, this will be our first ever event at Bramshill using a new map prepared by Katy Stubbs. Courses are available for all ages and abilities. Currently registration is from 10:00am - 11:00am with starts from 10:30am - 11:30am. We are however expecting a larger turnout than usual as Southern Navigators have cancelled their event which had been due to take place on the same date. Timings may need to be extended but please check the website for any updates – see Bramshill Event. This does also mean that the event officials will certainly be hoping to have a good team of willing helpers – please look out for any specific requests but any offers on the day will certainly be appreciated.
