This Sunday,  11th March, there will a large group of club members competing in the first round heats of the CompassSport Cup competition.  This is the annual inter-club competition consisting of regional heats in the spring and a national final in the autumn.  This year our heat is on an area of mixed woodland and farmland south of Gatwick Airport – the Balcombe Estate.  Our Club Captain, Martin Wilson, has put together a strong team with many of our top competitors as well as a good selection of potentially high scoring members from across the different age categories.  We are though up against some other high quality teams and it remains to be seen if we can get through to the final this year.   Martin’s advice to the team is to ‘run/train easy this week, and be fresh for Sunday’.  Good luck team!
