10 March 2017: CompassSport Cup Heat

Each year there is an inter-club competition known as the CompassSport Cup (named after the orienteering magazine with that name).  There are regional heats in the early spring and a national final in the autumn. This year Berkshire Orienteers is staging the regional heat for clubs in this area and it is taking place this coming Sunday, 12th March. Note however that entries for the main competition have closed and were only open to full BKO members.  However there is still the possibility of coming along on the day and entering one of the courses that is not part of the Cup competition.

The event is using the woodlands around the villages of Cold Ash and Hermitage - just to the north-east of Newbury. Courses available for entry on the day will be Light Green, Yellow and White.  If you are not one or those already entered, you are very welcome to come and join us for this rather special event - you could even help cheer on BKO members as they are finishing and trying to get more points for the club.  We hope to beat at least one of our main rivals - TVOC or SN!
