British Orienteering is delighted to congratulate John Kewley on his appointment to the new IOF Athletes Commission.

After leaving Olten, Switzerland following the first of the World Cup series, the GB team travelled immediately to Genoa, Italy and were joined by an additional team member, Peter Molloy, for the second round of the series. 

It's Volunteers Week 2024! This year marks the 40th anniversary of the Week, however we know that volunteering has been the beating heart of our sport since the inception of British Orienteering back in 1967.

British Orienteering’s Board formally invites members to the Annual General Meeting, which will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, 5th October 2024 at The Studio in Birmingham.

We are thrilled to announce that the new British Orienteering website will launch next week on Wednesday 5 June 2024.

Hot off the back of World Cup Round 1, which took place in Switzerland this past weekend, we look ahead to the upcoming World Cup Round 2 competition which takes place in Genoa from Saturday 1 June to Sunday 2 June. 

KO Sprint The 2024 Orienteering World Cup got underway in Switzerland under very variable weather conditions. As the first runners in the men’s qualification got underway the sun was shining, but halfway through heavy rain made the short tricky courses even more complicated.

In an extremely exciting development, the IOF have today announced that the World Orienteering Championships 2024, which is taking place from 12-16 July 2024 in Edinburgh, will be broadcast live via eurovisionsport.com in France, Germany and the UK.  

The International Orienteering season is finally upon us! This week the selected athletes for Team GB will travel to Switzerland for World Cup Round 1. Here is a reminder of who will be representing the squad and how you can watch the competition online.

The Sprint World Orienteering Championships 2024 (WOC 2024), which will take place in Edinburgh from 12-16 July 2024, is delighted to announce Heart Research UK’s Heart of Scotland Appeal as the Official Charity Partner of the event.

The Sprint Scotland Weekend took place in Fife from 4–5 May 2024 and comprised of three World Ranking Event races.

Following the British Middle Championships on Saturday 27 April, CLARO organised the Northern Championships which took place at Kilnsey South. Here, organiser Mike Cope and Planner Vicky Bailey give their insights into the area where the event was hosted and how the event went.

Next week the selected eleven members of the Great Britain Trail Orienteering team will make their way to the European Trail Orienteering Championships in Finland.
