17 February: BKO Update

Unfortunately, following the AGM on Friday evening, the BKO Committee remains without a Chair.  However all the other positions were filled so we should be able to continue to keep the club running and staging events.  The Awards allocated by the Committee were presented – the Derek Harding Award for services to the club was presented to Terry Hosking who regularly volunteers at our events; the Jim’s Jug Award for the junior showing the best performances went to Adam Methven but a suitable occasion will need to be found to present him with this Award.  Well done to them both!

Another reminder that Martin Wilson is organising the BKO entries for this inter-club competition.  He did send a detailed e-mail out on the 3rd February with all the information – please take another look at it and send your details to him as soon as possible.  Also note that he has asked that you indicate preferred start time (Early/Middle/Late) as this was missed off the spreadsheet. Please do your best to support the club at this event but remember that it is pre-entry only via Martin and you have to be a member of BOF.

Sunday 28th February – SOC SCOA League Event - Bratley, New Forest

Access to the New Forest is restricted to the autumn and winter due to environmental considerations (especially ground nesting birds) and so there is a rush of events in the area before the closure. This SCOA League event is situated in the central part of the area with parking at the Bolderwood car park and possibly surrounding tracks.  Pre-entries are open until this Sunday, 21st February. For details see SOC SCOA League – Bratley.
