1 April 2018: JK 2018 - Day 3 - Long

The outstanding BKO result from today's third day of the JK International Festival of Orienteering has to be Ian Cooper's superb run on the M75 Long course. Held in difficult conditions with wet tracks and marshy ground on Cannock Chase, Ian took the lead from the start and was fastest on 13 of the 20 legs on his course. Despite a 2 minute error at control 15, Ian finished over 7 minutes ahead of the next competitor. The combined times from yesterday's 'Middle' and today's 'Long' are used to determine the winners of each class and Ian won the M75 class by 42 seconds. Congratulations to him!  For the full results of all 3 days, see: http://www.sportident.co.uk/results/2018/JK2018/ Tomorrow the Festival ends with a relay competition featuring 8 BKO teams in a range of different classes. With heavy overnight rain forecast, watch out for more muddy photos!
