14 March 2022 - BKO Win our CompassSport Trophy Heat

Fantastic news that BKO won the CompassSport Trophy heat yesterday with a clear lead.  When all the points were counted, the final results were the following: BKO 1282,  SARUM 1254,  SOC 1253,  NWO 1201,  BADO 1041.  In the CompassSport Cup heat for larger clubs, staged at the same time, SN (2467) beat TVOC (2430).

As Club Captain, John Methven, reports, there were some fantastic performances and this meant that we had 6 people winning their class out of the Trophy clubs and scoring the full 100 points: Elliot Vaughan (M14-), Amelia Wing (W18-), Tom Inness (M18-), Adam Methven (M20-/M40+), John Briggs (M60+) and David Jukes (M70+).  Our other 7 scorers were: Zac Vaughan (98), Martin Wilson (97), Lisa Methven (98), Trish Monks (97), Katrin Harding (98), Denise Harper (98) and Dimitar Gospodinov (96). So a total of 1282 out of the maximum (for small clubs) of 1300. Also, great scores from Eleanor Prescott (98) and Lynne Moore (96).

This means that we are through to the national CompassSport Final which will be near Stirling (Devilla and Tulliallan) on 16 October. Looking forward to the epic journey and hope we can field a strong team. Volunteers please!

Many thanks for Fiona (Organiser), Stefan + Jim (Joint Planners) and Andy MacGregor (CSC heat coordinator) for putting on such a great event.
