Saturday 31 December – Whiteknights - Winter Series & Youth League Event

Our next event is on New Year’s Eve and will be a Youth League event at the University of Reading campus.  We will be providing three courses – Short, Medium and Long.  Results will be included in the Youth League - details of course allocation will be on the web site soon.  Parking is in a new large car park just in from the Shinfield Road entrance.  Registration will be in the new Sports Pavilion and we have use of the pavilion toilets and facilities.  For more details, see Whiteknights Event.

Saturday 14 January – Langley Park - Winter Series & Youth League Event

Just two weeks after Whiteknights there will be another Saturday event at Langley Park, just to the north-east of Slough.  The club committee decided to offer the regional Junior Squad an opportunity to help run the event in return for the Squad receiving some of the proceeds from the event – please support them.  Further details will be on the website.  For initial details, see: Langley Park

Sunday 29 January 2017 - The Concorde Chase

Reminder: Entries for our annual Concorde Chase event are now live on Fabian4 and Fiona has the helpers code.  So, before you consider entering, please consider helping and sending your offer to her with an indication as to when you would like to run and your preferred jobs.  She is also looking for a good number of control collectors who can run late before collecting controls.

Sunday 1 January 2017 – SARUM New Year’s Day Novelty Score Event

SARUM are once again using Copehill Down on Salisbury Plain for this fun event.  At the centre of the area is a ‘ghost village’. The event combines a 1:10,000 map with a more detailed 1:2,000 map of the village.  Starts are from 12.30 – 13.00pm.  You can pre-enter on Fabian 4 up until Tuesday 27th December to avoid queuing to enter on the day. Monday 2 January 2017 – TVOC Didcot Urban Event

The first Southern England Orienteering Urban League (SEOUL) event for 2017 is using a modern housing estate (Ladygrove) adjacent to Didcot railway station.  It will be the first chance for those in new age groups to gain ranking and league points in their new age group.  Standard pre-entries are closed but pre-entry remains open for on-line late entries – this is advised to ensure a map is available for your preferred course.  For details, see: TVOC Didcot Urban
